DURAGOLD is a premium quality and a very high performance acid curing coating system.Duragold is a 2-part acid cured catalysed clear coating system, which exhibits superior chemical and abrasion resistance when compared to conventional lacquer systems.With features one would expect from an outstanding product Duragold was specially formulated to provide benefits to the applicator, manufacturer and the customer.Suitable as a self-sealing system on common timbers, however 2 pack Polyurethane Sealers are highly recommended for exotic species or problem timbers.The self-sealing properties and remarkable characteristics of Duragold reduce the need for a specialised 2-pack sealer, except for some exotic species and some man-made veneers, where a polyurethane sealer is recommended.You can even enjoy additional savings by using Sherwood's unique single pack SOVEREIGN SEALER as a base coat, as it has been specially developed as a compatible product to DURAGOLD.Developed with self-sealing and fast dry properties, DURAGOLD may be sanded and re-coated earlier, so now most jobs can be finished on the same day.Where DURAGOLD really excels is in its high build properties DURAGOLD can achieve an excellent film build with simply a sealer coat and a top coat, where conventional lacquers would require 3 or even 4 or more coats to achieve similar film build.In the development of Duragold, a fundamental goal was for the system to provide for a very clear coating.
