Traps in Wax and Oils - Ideal for MDF
This Isolator coat is a specialised polyurethane coating specifically designed for use as a sealer on MDF and troublesome timbers and veneers.It seals the pores of the substrate and traps in wax and oils preventing a wide range of film defects such as pin holing, bubbling and cratering.The product also provides the subsequent coating with a surface which is easily 'wet out' resulting in improved flow, a film which is level and free from surface defects such as cissing. It stabilises flaws in MDF fibers and prevents subsequent cracking of high solids Polyester and Polyurethane coating especially on routed edgesIdeally suited for use under Polyester base coats, it is also a useful tool when coating problem substrates with other paint systems. It is advisable however to check inter-coat adhesion to polyester to polyurethane base coats ( Follow recommended drying, sanding & recoat times - refer to Technical Data Sheet).Mix by Volume 1 part A (EM850) to 1 part B (EMC1)Material and Safety Data Sheets
