A high quality single pack fast drying etch primer, usually applied where superior adhesion to the normal fast dry primers is required on ferrous and non-ferrous metals.Single Pack Etch Primer is a fast dry primer designed to exhibit excellent adhesion to mild steel, galvanized steel, aluminum and zincalume.Correct surface preparation needs to be carried out prior to the application of Etch Primer. Surface being coated should have corrosion removed by mechanical (wire brush etc) or chemical treatment, degrease metal with Sherwood wax and grease remover.Application of Etch Primer is by spray only as Etch Primer is rapid dry and brushing is not possible except for small areas.Etch Primer is touch dry in 10-15 minutes and hard dry in 45-60 minutes.Etch Primer is normally thinned by 20-50% with lacquer thinner depending on the type of spray equipment being used.Single Pack Etch is available in white, black and grey and dries to a satin finish.Because of its even satin finish Etch Primer can be used as a self--priming topcoat for internal metal furniture.Single Pack Etch can be recoated with most conventional enamels and lacquers as well as Sherwood's 135 Two-Pack Epoxy.Available in 4 Litre and 20 Litre cans.Material and Safety Data Sheets
