A single pack fast dry structural primer widely used for the protection of structural steel that is not exposed to long term weathering, other typical applications are metal furniture, lockers, trailers, machinery etc.Correct surface preparation needs to be carried out prior to the application of Fast Dry Structural Primer. Surface being coated should have corrosion removed by mechanical (wire brush etc) or chemical treatment, degrease metal with Sherwood wax and grease remover.Application of Fast Dry Structural Primer is by spray only as Primer is rapid dry and brushing is not possible except for small areas.Fast Dry Structural Primer is normally thinned by 20-25% with Enamel Thinner depending on the type of spray equipment being used.Fast dry Structural Primer is available in Red Oxide, Grey, Blue, White and Black and dries to a satin finish.Fast Dry Structural Primer is not normally recoated except with itself for touch up but can be recoated with most conventional enamels.This primer is a Zinc Phosphate type primer that is more environmentally acceptable than Zinc Chromate Primer.
